We are pleased to partner with Mayor Reed and be part of his vision of economic development and opportunity. The business here is flourishing, due to Georgia’s film incentive and the support of The City of Atlanta. “We are grateful to be a part of the thriving film industry in this great city. It will allow the studios to host as many as seven different productions at one time or very large productions that need multiple buildings and stages. The latest addition, Stage 6, is a 30,000 sq ft sound stage that can be divided for two productions filming simultaneously. In April 2011, EUE/Screen Gems opened Stage 5, a new 37,500-sq-ft sound stage, one of the largest east of Los Angeles. The demand for studio space in Atlanta has exceeded expectations. "It's hard to believe that just one short year ago, this site of the former Lakewood Fairgrounds was a vacant lot overrun with kudzu and weeds with a fairly bleak future," said Mayor Reed.
